The actives
- NMN — 300 mg per serving (Super NAD⁺ system)
- Nicotinamide mononucleotide, a precursor to NAD⁺ — a coenzyme central to how your cells turn nutrients into ATP. Each serving provides 300 mg of NMN, a dose that has been studied in randomized human research, alongside 8 mg NADH and 24 mg niacinamide.*
- Resveratrol — 20 mg ResVida® + 110 mg grape skin extract
- A polyphenol antioxidant naturally found in red grapes: 20 mg trans-resveratrol (ResVida®) plus 110 mg grape skin extract standardized to 40% resveratrol, per serving.
- EGCG (green tea catechin) — 40 mg
- A botanical antioxidant from green tea, 40 mg per serving. Decaffeinated.
- S.O.D. (superoxide dismutase) — 6 mg
- A naturally occurring antioxidant enzyme from Extramel® melon concentrate, 6 mg per serving.
- Vitamins, minerals & amino acids
- 2,000 mg L-glutamine, 200 mg each of L-arginine, L-lysine, and glycine, plus a full B-complex, vitamins A, C, D3, and E, calcium, magnesium, selenium, and potassium. Every exact amount is listed in the Supplement Facts table on this page.*
- Enzyme & botanical blend
- Additional enzymes and botanical antioxidants for broader antioxidant support.*
- Other ingredients & allergens
- Effervescent base (citric acid + sodium bicarbonate), natural flavors. Contains soy. Sugar free, gluten free, lactose free, yeast free, cholesterol free. No animal ingredients.
Why it’s built this way
VitalFactors has been made and refined by MDR since 1984. The current formula layers an NAD⁺ precursor — 300 mg NMN, alongside 8 mg NADH — into an age-defying nutritional complex of amino acids, plant antioxidants (resVida® resveratrol, EGCG, Extramel® S.O.D.) and a full vitamin and mineral panel, with every per-serving amount published on the label.
It is built around a weekly rhythm, not a daily grind: five days on, two days off. Most customers run it Monday through Friday and skip the weekend — the box of 40 effervescent tablets is sized around exactly that cadence.
The effervescent format is deliberate. The tablets dissolve completely in a glass of water before you drink, so the actives are already in solution — a drink, not another capsule to swallow.
Selected published research
These studies examine individual ingredients — often at doses and in populations that differ from this product — not the finished formula. They are listed for reference and are not claims about this product.
NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide)
- The efficacy and safety of β-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) supplementation in healthy middle-aged adults: a randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, dose-dependent clinical trial (2023). Healthy adults aged 40–65 across 250–900 mg/day; blood NAD concentrations rose versus placebo.
- Ingestion of β-nicotinamide mononucleotide increased blood NAD levels, maintained walking speed, and improved sleep quality in older adults in a double-blind randomized, placebo-controlled study (2024). Placebo-controlled trial in older adults measuring blood NAD and functional outcomes.
Resveratrol
- Calorie restriction-like effects of 30 days of resveratrol supplementation on energy metabolism and metabolic profile in obese humans (2011). Double-blind crossover of 150 mg/day trans-resveratrol (resVida) examining energy metabolism.
- Trans-Resveratrol Supplementation and Endothelial Function during the Fasting and Postprandial Phase: A Randomized Placebo-Controlled Trial in Overweight and Slightly Obese Participants (2017). Four weeks at 150 mg/day; vascular-physiology measurements in adults.
Superoxide dismutase (melon concentrate)
- Dietary Supplementation with a Superoxide Dismutase-Melon Concentrate Reduces Stress, Physical and Mental Fatigue in Healthy People: A Randomised, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial (2014). 61 healthy adults, 12 weeks, 10 mg SOD-melon concentrate daily versus placebo.
- Effect of an oral supplementation with a proprietary melon juice concentrate (Extramel®) on stress and fatigue in healthy people: a pilot, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial (2009). 70 healthy volunteers aged 30–55, four weeks, on the branded melon concentrate used for S.O.D.
Green tea EGCG
- Green tea catechins prevent low-density lipoprotein oxidation via their accumulation in low-density lipoprotein particles in humans (2016). Human crossover study on catechin absorption and oxidation biomarkers.
- Physiological effects of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on energy expenditure for prospective fat oxidation in humans: A systematic review and meta-analysis (2017). Meta-analysis of human EGCG studies on energy-expenditure physiology.
Ubiquinol (Coenzyme Q10)
- Ubiquinol is superior to ubiquinone to enhance Coenzyme Q10 status in older men (2018). Randomized crossover in older men comparing the two CoQ10 forms at 200 mg/day.
- Comparative Bioavailability of Different Coenzyme Q10 Formulations in Healthy Elderly Individuals (2020). Crossover bioavailability study in 21 healthy adults aged 65–74.
